Khloé Kardashian Texts Boyfriend James Harden From Lamar Odom’s Bedside: Report
“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Khloé Kardashian hasn’t left the bedside of her estranged husband, ex-NBA star Lamar Odom. But she hasn’t forgotten about her boyfriend, Houston Rockets guard James Harden, either. She texted Harden from Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, where Odom is being treated after he was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel last Tuesday, Radar Online wrote in an exclusive report Monday.
But it wasn’t just one message. The duo “have been in constant communication since she arrived in Las Vegas,” an insider told Radar Online Monday. “They have mostly been exchanging text messages, and there have been phone calls too.”
Harden doesn’t mind that Kardashian rushed to Las Vegas to be with her ailing husband. “He is so nice and being as supportive as humanly possible, given the situation," a source told People magazine Monday. "Lamar essentially has zero consistent family other than the Kardashians, and James understands that. The last thing he would want to do would be to add more stress to her plate.”
Part of the reason Harden is being understanding is because he doesn’t think there’s anything to worry about. “If James wasn’t confident in his relationship with Khloé, he would be concerned,” a source told Radar Online.
Harden is also concentrating on his career. “He is busy with preseason games. Khloé has all of her attention focused on Lamar, and while that is to be expected, no one knows what the future holds,” the source told Radar Online.
Odom, 35, woke up from his coma Friday. He and Kardashian, 31, are still legally married due to a technicality, even though they both signed divorce papers in July. He reportedly needs months of rehab before he recuperates.
Kardashian started dating Harden, 26, in June. The Rockets player will not visit her in Nevada. "He never had any intention of going to Vegas,” a different source told People. “He supports her, of course, but understands she needs space and to be with Lamar.”
