Kim Kardashian Addresses Bizarre Met Gala Outfit On Instagram

Kim Kardashian seemingly dropped more hints about her bizarre outfit at the 2021 Met Gala.

The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star's outfit at the Met Gala became a hot topic following the event. She arrived in a black Balenciaga bodysuit that covered her from head to toe, including her face.

There were speculations that her outfit was inspired by her estranged husband Kanye West's album "Donda." She has continued to support him following their split. She was also present at all of the listening parties for the album.

On Wednesday, she took to her Instagram Story to share more insights into her outfit. She reposted several explanations about her fashion statement.

She shared a Vogue article that noted how she "rewrote the red carpet's rules." "Completely obscuring her features and famous physique, the look gave the reality star something she hasn’t had in a long while: anonymity," the outlet's senior fashion and culture editor Janelle Okwodu wrote.

The 40-year-old reality star also shared a tweet that read, "For someone who is always criticized for being overly sexual, Kim showed she can cover every square inch of skin and still find a way to be criticized and ridiculed. THAT is American culture."

Kardashian also reposted Diet Prada's Instagram Story about fame and anonymity.

"When you’re so famous you can literally make ‘anonymous,’ your new look. Say what you want about her new direction, but it’s definitely not boring," the message read.

Furthermore, she shared an article from The Cut with a headline that read, "Kim Kardashian, Is That You? How Balenciaga's Demna Gvasalia — Kim's also-shrouded date — understands anti-glamour."

Kardashian has shared snaps of her outfits from the event on Instagram. It received a thumbs up from her followers.

"Your epic," Ash K Holm wrote.

Nicole Williams English, Lala and Snoh Aalegra were among those who left heart emojis in the comments. However, many also speculated that she's back with Kanye West because it's how West dressed up for his "Donda" album.

"Tell us you’re back with Kayne without telling us you’re back with Kayne," one commented.

"Kimberly if y’all back together just say [that] damn," another added.

A source told Entertainment Tonight that the "Gold Digger" rapper wanted Kardashian back. He is reportedly trying to win her back and prove himself to her. Kardashian is "considering her options" and keeps their kids her priority.

"Kim and Kanye have a deep love for each other and many amazing memories and it's difficult to just let that all go. Kim's main focus and concern are her children and doing what is best for them and their family," the insider told ET.
