Kim Kardashian Believes Caitlyn Jenner, Kris Jenner Feud Is ‘Just A Phase’

Kim Kardashian is fully embracing her return to the spotlight following her traumatizing Paris robbery in 2016. The reality star, who is doing her best to move forward, still has to deal with her fair share of family drama.

On Monday, Kardashian was filling in for host Kelly Ripa on “Live! With Kelly and Ryan,” when the topic of her stepfather, Caitlyn Jenner came up, E! News reported. The reality star told Seacrest that although she is not on speaking terms with her step parent, she doesn’t think that the feud between her family will last forever.

“We don’t have much of a relationship, but we’re family, so I do believe that this is just a phase,” Kardashian explained.

The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star revealed that with the ongoing issues between Caitlyn and her mother, Kris Jenner, she was forced to pick sides. “There’s been so much hurt and pain with Caitlyn and my mom. At the end of the day, I’ll always ride for my mom. Like, she’s my mom! I love her to death,” she told the host.

However, favoring her mother doesn’t mean Kardashian is completely done with Caitlyn. “I respect [Kendall Jenner] and [Kylie Jenner] — that’s their dad, and it’s crazy dynamic, but at the end of the day we’re all family and I’m not going to say anything [bad]. I’m trying to be super positive and hope that it all resolves itself,” she said.

Kardashian was actually one of the first members of the famous brood to accept Caitlyn following her transition. The star revealed that she initially attempted to play peacemaker in the family.

“I try to really put myself in other people’s shoes. I feel like I’ve been through so much and I’ve never appreciated it when people have judged me, so I’ve tried to be really open-minded and really nonjudgmental,” she explained.

However, the 36-year-old admitted that seeing her mother in pain as a result of all of the drama with Caitlyn was difficult for the entire family. It’s no secret that the Kardashian family and Jenner have been at odds since the former Olympian decided to transition in 2015.

Once she became more open about her choice, Caitlyn revealed that Kris was well aware of her desire to become a woman, something the matriarch has continuously denied. In her interview with Vanity Fair, the “I Am Cait” star claimed that Jenner has seen her dress up in women’s clothing.

However, Kris told the magazine that Caitlyn did not dress up during their marriage. “A few times I would see a suitcase or things lying around the house,” Kris explained but revealed that a gender issue was never a topic of discussion during their union.

In her book “Caitlyn Jenner: The Secrets of My Life,” the author claimed that Kris actually made a deal with her and allowed her to dress up in women’s clothing.

“She fell for Bruce Jenner, not some porcelain doll knock off. [...]Eventually Kris and I do reach an understanding – take Caitlyn on the road – but she is not to play in our home or hometown. End of discussion,” she wrote.

Although the Kardashians attempted to patch up their relationship with Caitlyn during the previous seasons of their reality show, the release of her book in April seems to have thwarted any hope for a speedy reconciliation.
