Kim Kardashian Called 'Bossy,' 'Controlling' For Telling Boyfriend Pete Davidson To Remove Hat

Kim Kardashian got called out by Pete Davidson's fans for allegedly being a bossy and controlling girlfriend.

A video uploaded on the Kardashian Social Instagram page showed the 41-year-old reality star with the 28-year-old comedian. It was behind-the-scenes footage from when they were preparing for the 2022 Met Gala.

Davidson was holding Kardashian's one hand, and when they held their other hand, the Skims founder told her boyfriend, "Take the double hat off." He instantly held the purple cap over a navy one and told her, "I didn’t know where to put my hat," as the people around them giggled.

"She'll hold it," the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" alum told him while gesturing to an assistant. "Just in case, because if it works and we want to use this somewhere. Just if I want to post any behind-the-scenes."

The "Saturday Night Live" joked, "Oh, you don’t want me to have a double hat? I appreciate that. Thank you." Kardashian told him, "I'm just looking out for you." Davidson made it clear it was fine, saying, "No, it's cool," before handing over the hat to one of his pals, who offered to hold it for him.

"Thank you, man. This hat caused a lot of trouble," Davidson said.

The footage received mixed responses, with many criticizing Kardashian for controlling her man. Several said she was being bossy.

"She is a little bossy. I know he will grow tired of it once the novelty wears off," one commented. Another added, "She likes him because she can control him."

"Love? She's uptight and controlling," another added.

"She’s controlling him, he’s a comedian, and she’ll try to sensor [sic] what he does and says, you can see it with the double hat!" a fourth person wrote.

On the other hand, some fans loved seeing Kardashian and Davidson together. For them, the pair looked cute.

"Omggg!!!! I’m so invested in them [three heart eyes emojis] they are so cute together," one fan wrote.

"People don't realize she isn't being uptight. I'm sure if they weren't about to take pictures for vogue and the met she wouldn't have said anything lol," another user wrote defending Kardashian.

"I see happiness, just the two of them being themselves, they laugh, enjoying the moment, and physical and intimate touching by holding each other’s hand so freely," another netizen wrote, pointing out how happy Kardashian and Davidson were based on the video. "When have we ever seen Kim with Kanye this happy ??? Once again, when has Pete been this happy and smitten in love???"

Davidson and Kardashian first sparked dating rumors when they were spotted holding hands while riding a roller coaster in October. The pair reportedly became an official couple in mid-November. However, she only made their relationship Instagram official in March.

Meanwhile, Davidson publicly called Kardashian his girlfriend for the first time during his interview with Kay Adams for "People (The TV Show!)." He referred to Kardashian as his girlfriend when he shared how he usually spends his downtime.

"Well, I don't really have Instagram — I don't have Instagram or Twitter or any of that stuff. So, most of my daily life is getting into cars and showing up to a set," Davidson said. "Or, if I'm off, I just either hang with my friends or chill with my girlfriend inside. So I don't do much."
