Ending speculations which began almost with the wedding, Kim Kardashian has announced her decision to end her marriage to the NBA player Kris Humphries.

Even though the reality star members of the Kardashian clan were busy tweeting about the tough time Kim was going through, the tweets they received in reply were dripping with sarcasm. The whole fairytale wedding affair is being made fun of with Kim Kardashian hashtags trending at the moment on Twitter: #ThingsLongerThanKimsMarriage and #KimKMarriageWasShorter.

The divorce news which came within 72 days of marriage, has given way to fresh rumors which say that the wedding was fake and was carefully orchestrated by the Kardashian family to boost their reality show rating.

A source close to the Keeping Up with the Kardashians production told Radar Online, It was pretty much an arranged marriage right from the start. The inside source explained, Kim was looking for a husband and Kris was selected for her, amongst others. She wasn't really into him but she hoped she would be able to develop some feelings, but it never happened.

She was never particularly attracted to him, and by all accounts absolutely hated sleeping with him or even having to make out with him, added the source. The whole wedding was a total hoax and a publicity stunt. It was great for ratings and it was an amazing money maker. That's it though, period. Kris turned out to not be as malleable as everyone hoped he would be, he was pictured out partying with other girls, Kim really couldn't care less for him, she decided to end it.

According to the insider, even the divorce could turn out to be another publicity stunt. It wouldn't surprise me, in the slightest, if Kim and Kris managed to 'reunite' and the divorce filing gets brushed aside as they go to counseling and couples therapy. Basically, Kim will do anything and everything for the maximum amount of attention and TV time.

Kim's decision to announce her divorce just hours before her mother's book, Kris Jenner and All Things Kardashian goes on sale, is also being viewed as a deliberate move to attract public attention.

Kim's Twitterfeed didn't seem to show an iota of despair about her own short-lived marriage.

In a tweet that was remarkable for its inappropriateness, Kim wrote: 'Our store #KardashianKhaos is opening tomorrow at 9am at @TheMirageLV We are so excited!! Kardashian Khaos has arrived! Kardashian Khaos indeed...'

The most important fiscal factor of the whole affair has made Kim as well as Kris richer by many millions as they part their ways.

The wedding, which cost the couple $10 million, netted a whopping $18 million.

The major portion of profits - around $15 million - is thought to have been TV rights which formed part of the family's exclusive deal with E!

According to reality industry experts, the marriage ending now means that the whole drama has earned the couple about $250,000 per day.

Whether or not Kris is heartbroken, the marriage was a moneymaker for the player who earns $40,000 per game. He has been raking in a quarter million each day for being part of the meticulously designed marriage.
