Kim Kardashian Finds Hosting 'Saturday Night Live' Easy [Watch]
Kim Kardashian joked about her "Saturday Night Live" hosting debut, noting that it is "so easy" in the new promo dropped on Twitter Thursday.
In the video, the 40-year-old reality TV star could be seen introducing herself and singer Halsey. Cecily Strong, who is a regular on "SNL," asked Kardashian if she was "nervous" about doing sketch comedy.
Kardashian noted that there is nothing to be nervous about as she already got sketch writers to do the job, "Why? I don't have to write sketches, do I?" to which Strong responded, "No."
The mother of four then asked if she is supposed to memorize lines and Halsey replied, "No, there are cue cards." Kardashian jokingly asked, "Everyone else won't look as good as me, will they?" Strong confirmed, "No, absolutely not."
"This is so easy," Kardashian said.
In the promo, Strong also asked both the guests if they should start their "own girl group" to which Halsey immediately answered, "Absolutely not." Kardashian agreed with Halsey and joked, "We already said no when you pitched that backstage."
"SNL" official Twitter handle dropped the promo Thursday evening.
The response was a mixed reaction from fans, many of who weren't thrilled about a reality TV star joining the long list of prestigious SNL hosts. While some fans were excited to watch the upcoming episode, others were all set to skip this episode because of Kardashian.
A user mentioned that bringing Kardashian on board wasn't a good idea and asked, "What's next, you're going to invite tiktokers to host?" to which another user replied, "Don't give them ideas."
Last month, "SNL" cast member Ego Nwodim spoke about Kardashian's appearance on the show.
"It's just exciting for us to be part of a show where we have someone come in who doesn't necessarily do what we do and is not into what we do," Nwodim told ET.
She further explained how the cast members try to elevate the guests on the show and make them look good, adding, she hopes to "bring out" that side of the guests that people haven't otherwise seen.
"Saturday Night Live" is a sketch comedy show that has been on air since 1975 and is one of the longest-running shows of its kind. Many artists including actors, musicians, comedians and popular faces perform skits together on current events. It has also birthed some of the biggest names in comedy writing and acting over the past decades. Besides the NBC network, viewers can watch this show on the Peacock streaming platform.
