Kim Kardashian Offers Weight Loss Tips To Get Your Pre-Holiday Body Back: Throw Away Leftovers, Buy New Workout Gear, And More
Kim Kardashian has offered fans her post-holiday workout tips.
Over the weekend, the curvy reality TV star tweeted, “My post-Thanksgiving diet and workout tips,” including a link to a blog post she wrote with her five best tips for losing the holiday weight.
Her first piece of advice was to throw leftovers from Thanksgiving away. “As delicious as they are, Thanksgiving is over. You don’t need to eat those left overs!” Kardashian wrote.
She also suggested buying new workout clothes. “There are tons of deals in stores and online so treat yourself to a new workout outfit or some new sneakers that will get you motivated to hit the gym.”
Kardashian also stated that working out with a friend is always motivating, and that if you gain weight, do not beat yourself up over it. “The best way to get motivated is to find a friend to workout with you. Kourtney is my workout buddy right now. Ask a friend or relative if they want to workout together.
We all gain a few pounds here or there during the holidays, and that’s fine. But get back into your regular lifestyle and focus on eating healthier and limiting your ‘treats’ … after all, Christmas is just around the corner,” Kardashian went on to say.
Her final tip was to drink more water. “You’d be surprised the difference drinking more water can make to your weight loss mission and workouts.
Most of us don’t drink enough, and you’ve probably been avoiding water these last few days and treating yourself to sodas, alcohol and yummy holiday drinks. 2.2 liters (about 9 cups) per day of water is what you should be drinking, so strive for that!”
Lately, it seems Kardashian is still on a mission to lose more weight, tweeting a picture last weekend of a shake with avocados, pears, apples and yogurt. The photo caption read "Dinner."
One follower was not impressed. “Holy [expletive] u need more than that for dinner, hope your [sic] lying to us,” wrote Instagram user sativaverte.
Kardashian was also spotted the same weekend filming a scene for an episode of her reality show. In the scene, she was jobbing with sister Kourtney while in full makeup.
The reality star has clearly lost weight since discussing her weight battles back in October.
"I’m hoping to slim down a little bit, and I’m not afraid to say it,” Kardashian told Life & Style that month. “I think everyone goes up and down in whatever that comfortable love relationship phase is where you like to eat out, but now it’s time to get it together again.”
At the end of September, Kardashian was spotted at an event titled "Midori Makeover Parlour" wearing a green velvet dress, with the back clearly undone, revealing her bra, as her bra hooks seemed to struggle to stay put.
Prior to the event, Kardashian’s mother and manager, Kris Jenner, tried to fix the back of the dress, but to no avail. At the event, Kardashian made sure to take pictures from the front so the malfunction was not visible.
Kardashian had put on weight since growing more comfortable in her relationship with rapper Kanye West, whom she has been dating since April.
The two have been seen on numerous occasions going out to eat at various restaurants, which can quickly lead to weight gain if one is not careful about what he or she is consuming.
“She feels so comfortable around him -- he loves her curves -- she hasn’t been vigilant about dieting,” a friend told the magazine.
But Kardashian is now often seen heading to the gym either on her own, with family or with West.
The reality star apparently feels differently about her body than she did earlier this year, when Kardashian told British magazine Closer in an interview, "I was never going to be one of those skinny girls and now I've accepted my curvy shape, I feel so much better … You can't spend your life worrying about calories."
