Kim Kardashian Opens Up About Caitlyn Jenner; Claims Robert Kardashian Heard Transition Rumors Before Death

Kim Kardashian is finally ready to discuss Caitlyn Jenner's transition -- in great detail, no less. In the earliest stages of her transition, while she was still going by her birth name, Caitlyn Jenner, 65, revealed that Kim Kardashian, 34, was the first to learn about her gender identity struggle. After holding onto the secret for close to 13 years the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star penned a revealing blog post in which she shared several never-before-heard secrets about her stepfather's transition.

As People magazine reported, the post, titled "About Caitlyn," revisited the first time Kim Kardashian ever saw Caitlyn Jenner -- then living as a male -- in drag. She wrote that her mother and younger sisters were out of town at the time and she had just returned home from staying with a friend. Kim Kardashian stepped into the garage where she was met by her stepfather dressed in women's clothing, sporting a wig and full makeup. She went on to say that she exited the garage as quickly as she'd come in and made a b-line straight for her bedroom where she packed her things and left for older sister Kourtney Kardashian's place. Kim Kardashian revealed to readers that, while this was the first time she'd ever seen Caitlyn Jenner dressed as a women, it was not the first time she'd heard buzz about her potential desires to be female.

"Had I not overheard my dad and his friends discussing rumors that Bruce would dress up as a woman years before (when I was about 11 years old), I never would have believed what I was seeing," she wrote. "I thought my dad was jealous of my mom's new husband, that he was joking with his friend on the phone, but suddenly I knew it was all true."

Kim Kardashian went on to say that, upon arriving at Kourtney Kardashian's home, she shared the secret. The two then began scouring the Internet for clues as to what it may mean that their new father figure enjoyed wearing women's clothing. She told readers for many years she and her eldest sister simply "assumed he was a cross-dresser, not transgender."

As we previously reported, Kim Kardashian was among the most accepting of Caitlyn Jenner's transition. Although she struggled with it at first, after speaking with husband Kanye West she was able to come to terms with it. During E!'s "Keeping Up With the Kardashians: About Bruce" special, during which each of the Kardashian-Jenner children, as well as Kris Jenner, discussed the affects of Caitlyn Jenner's transition, it was revealed that Kanye West, 38, helped Kim Kardashian to find a new perspective on the former Olympian's situation. The "All Day" rapper explained to her that, in his opinion, if he was unable to be true to himself nothing else in life mattered. He then suggested she apply the same thinking to Caitlyn Jenner's gender identity, which completely opened her mind.

Caitlyn Jenner has been living publicly as a female since June 1, when she introduced herself to the world on the cover of Vanity Fair. Fortunately, her transition has been met with very little opposition and her entire family -- which consists of 10 children both biological and step -- is on board.
