KEY POINTS
- Kim Kardashian admitted she Photoshopped her daughter Chicago and her niece True's Disneyland pictures
- The original pictures showed that Chicago's companion was another cousin, Stormi
- Kim explained that the photos were edited because she didn't want to "mess up" her Instagram grid
Kim Kardashian has finally addressed her Disneyland snaps that sparked Photoshop rumors earlier this year.
"This one needs some serious explaining," the 41-year-old Skims mogul wrote on Instagram Story Wednesday, referencing the pictures of her 4-year-old daughter, Chicago, and her 4-year-old niece, True.
Back in January, when Kim first uploaded the pictures on Instagram, fans noticed that Khloe Kardashian's daughter appeared to have been edited into the snaps.
Earlier this month, Khloe admitted that the pictures had indeed been Photoshopped. This came after Khloe accidentally confirmed fans' speculation when she posted on Instagram on April 12 that she had taken True to Disneyland "for the first time" for her birthday.
"Welllppp I f–ked this one up," Khloe tweeted. "Anyways … let’s focus on something else. Our show, ['The Kardashians'], airs in a few days."
In a series of Instagram Stories Wednesday, Kim explained in her "Photoshop confession" that the Disneyland pictures had been edited because of "aesthetic."
"OK OK sooooo you know I am all about my aesthetic," Kim captioned a screenshot of her Instagram page. "And my IG grid is pink and blue lately. Isn't it so cute and well-planned out?"
The KKW Beauty creator then shared the original picture, which featured Chicago and Kylie Jenner's 4-year-old daughter, Stormi, instead of True.
"The original pics were Stormi! However, I asked @kyliejenner if I could post them, and she said she wasn't really feeling posting at the moment and so I respect that! But it wasn't going to mess up my IG feed. Chi was wearing pink, and it matched perfectly," Kim explained, referring to her blue and pink Instagram theme.
Kim went on to admit that it wasn't the aesthetic she was going for, adding, "You know how much a good aesthetic means to my soul."
"And I will be damned if Kylie will ruin that for me and mess up my IG grid. So thank you True for taking one for the team!" she continued. "I didn't think it would be that big of a deal if her own mom questioned if I snuck her to Disneyland for the first time."
Jenner had been staying away from social media at the time following her on-again, off-again boyfriend Travis Scott's November 2021 Texas performance led to a mass casualty incident.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder, who was pregnant with her second child with the rapper, returned to Instagram in December 2021. She and Scott welcomed a baby boy two months later.
Meanwhile, Kim also addressed the rumors that she edited her boyfriend Pete Davidson's neck and jawline in one of her Instagram uploads. She denied the accusations and shared the original version, which was a live photo.
"How do you photoshop a live photo? Asking for a friend," she wrote in the caption.
