Kim Kardashian Sex Tape Sales Shoot Upward After Pregnancy Announcement

Sales of the Kim Kardashian sex tape have reportedly shot upward since Kanye West announced Sunday that she is pregnant with their child.

The fact that the sales of Kim K's sex tape -- called "Kim K. Superstar" -- have surged in light of such wholesome news may sound odd, but it appears there is an uptick in sales of the video every time something major happens in her life.

TMZ reports that Vivid Entertainment, the porn company that published and sells the video, says sales are up 80 percent since Yeezy's happy announcement. That is apparently the biggest jump in the video's popularity since Kardashian -- a reality TV star who shot to superstardom when the video hit the Web a few years back -- got married to basketball player Kris Humphries of the Nets in 2011.

And apparently sales of the video have been going up ever since she and Kanye started seeing each other back in March, according to TMZ. Ray J -- the singer who, er, performs with Kardashian in the clip and sold it to Vivid in the first place -- gets a cut of all the money it makes.

Kanye unexpectedly made the announcement about Kardashian's bun in the oven from a concert stage on Sunday, shocking the world and delighting many who love the famous couple.

And Fox News reports that Kardashian confirmed the news in a statement posted on her website on Monday:

"It’s true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby. We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us. Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family."

Kardashian, 32, separated from Humphries after 72 days of marriage, but the pair have yet to get officially divorced.
