  • Kim Kardashian recalled running into ex-husband Kris Humphries years after they finalized their divorce in 2013
  • She claimed Humphries "literally looked at me and wouldn't speak to me"
  • The reality star admitted that she broke up with him "in the worst way"

Kim Kardashian has admitted she owes her ex-husband, Kris Humphries, an apology for the way she handled their marriage and their divorce.

During the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" reunion special Thursday, Kardashian spoke about the aftermath of her 72-day marriage with Humphries in 2011 and revealed that she has tried many times to apologize to him for the way she broke up with him.

"I tried to," Kardashian was quoted by Page Six as saying. "I tried calling him for months."

The reality star recalled running into the NBA player at the Beverly Hills Hotel in 2015, two years after their divorce was finalized. At the time, Kardashian was with her daughter North and was pregnant with son Saint when she ended up sitting at the table right next to him. However, she claimed he was not willing to talk to her.

"I saw him and all of his friends got up from the table, we had the tables next to each other," the KKW Beauty founder shared. "All of his friends got up and said hi to me and he literally just looked at me and like wouldn’t even speak to me."

Kardashian admitted she had broken up with him "in the worst way." She explained that Humphries is "very faith-based" and wanted an annulment so their marriage wouldn't be "on his record." Kardashian said that with annulment being legal only if "fraud is involved," he put this down as the reason for their split.

"I was so nervous to break up with someone. I handled it totally the wrong way. I fully broke up with him in the worst way and I couldn’t — I just didn’t know how to deal. I learned so much from it," Kardashian said. "If I was mature, I would have wanted the annulment too. I wish I was only married once."

She also admitted that she got cold feet when they were about to wed but felt pressured to marry him because of their reality show.

"I thought, ‘OK, we’re filming this for a TV show. If I leave, I’m going to be known as the runaway bride forever. It’s going to be a huge joke, and I think I just had cold feet," the 40-year-old star said.

"I felt pressure, I thought I was going to let everyone down," she continued. "The show paid us, obviously, a fee to film the show. I took my entire fee and probably Kris’ [fee] because I wanted a bigger wedding than what they were going to pay for. So I used all of our production money on the wedding. So, if that was, like, fake, I would have saved my money!"

Kardashian was also previously married to Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004. The reality star tied the knot with Kanye West in 2014, but she filed for divorce from him in February.

During the sit-down, Kardashian said she considers her union with West her first "real marriage." She also said she gave it her all before they decided to call it quits.
