Kim Kardashian Too 'Distraught' To Work, Cancels Australia Appearances

Kim Kardashian seems to be taking her recent break-up very hard.

TMZ reports that the divorcee is telling friends that she is so distraught over the failure of her marriage and the maelstrom of public scrutiny that she cannot function.

She is supposedly saying to those close to her, I need to take care of me now, and I can't work for awhile.

TMZ questioned whether this statement might suggest plans to put the brakes on Kardashian E! reality shows, such as Kourtney and Kim Take New York and Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Currently, E! is amping up for the new season of Kourtney and Kim Take New York which is set to premiere on Nov. 27.

However, ABC News reports that E! executives planned a meeting for Nov. 1 to discuss how to proceed with the show now that Humphries is out of the picture.

In a statement released immediately after the divorce announcement, E! insisted The Kardashians have always been uniquely open with all aspects of their lives from joyous events to intimate moments to heartbreaking transitions. E! will continue to share the fascinating real lives and larger-than-life existence of this close-knit family.

Kardashian was slated to appear at the Melbourne Cup for Swisse vitamins during her promotional trip to Australia for $155,000, but has since canceled the gig, according to US Weekly.

I am very disappointed that I am unable to attend the Swisse marquee but I hope to come back and work with the Swisse team at another point in time, Kardashian said.

Representatives tried to convince Khloe to go in Kim's place, but Khloe refused.

Kim will be flying back to the U.S. with siser Khloe and her husband Lamar on Thursday or Friday. She says that this is the first time she has ever missed work.

A spokesperson for Swisse said to US Weekly, All indications were that Kim wanted to fulfill all of her commitments once she landed in Australia but has obviously changed her mind given her very difficult personal challenges at the moment.

Kardashian insists, I love our fan base out here. Of course I do really want some time to myself and it has been tough. But I didn't wanna bail on everyone and, you know, skip out on this commitment, reports US Weekly.

Kim Kardashian seems to be severing all ties with soon-to-be ex-husband Kris Humphries.

Kardashian, who has almost 11 million Twitter followers, currently only follows 152 people herself -- and Humphries is no longer one of them.

Kardashian appears on the most recent cover of the US Weekly tabloid under the title My Big Mistake. The magazine reports that sources are saying Kardashian is utterly flustered and upset about everything that has happened.

She is truly in love with love, the source told US Weekly. She's always the girl doodling her future husband's name on her notebook. And that's what happened here. She fell for him really hard when she didn't really know him. She got very swept up.

She didn't want to be out there lying about how happy she was in her marriage when she wasn't. She has a lot of regrets.

Rumors are also circulating regarding the bickering that took place while the prenuptual agreement was being drafted.

Humphries was apparently only concerned about what money he would be making from the wedding, reports TMZ.

The source for this piece of information says, It was really apparent then ... this marriage wasn't going to last, and even they could see it wasn't a good idea.

Meanwhile, Humphries has also canceled an appearance. The basketball player was supposed to host a party at the Paris Hotel's Chateau Nightclub on Saturday.
