Kim Kardashian West Slams Body Shaming Critics, Reveals ‘Enough Is Enough’ In Empowering Blog Post
Kim Kardashian West has proven that she is not afraid to face critics over a recent backlash following the release of her nude photos on social media.
The TV personality posted an empowering message on her website and app that called out body shamers, People magazine reported. Kim wrote in her blogpost on Tuesday that she felt “empowered” by her body and her sexuality. She also stated that she was “comfortable in [her] skin” and appeared surprised that critics would lash out at her during this modern age.
“It's 2016. The body-shaming and slut-shaming – it's like, enough is enough. I will not live my life dictated by the issues you have with my sexuality. You be you and let me be me,” she wrote.
She also commented on how she was considered a “bad role model for being proud of [her] body.” Kanye West’s wife stated that she has never committed a crime and that she was not a drug user as well as alcoholic. However, her recent social media post that shared her after-pregnancy nude body had painted her in a bad light.
The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star also made mention of her infamous sex tape that was leaked more than ten years ago. "It always seems to come back around to my sex tape. Yes, a sex tape that was made 13 years ago. 13 YEARS AGO. Literally that lonnng ago. And people still want to talk about it?!?!" Kim stated.
Apart from calling out body critics, she also commended Kanye for being an “accepting and supportive” husband. Kim also applauded the women in her family and the life lessons she learned from them. She added that she will pass on those nuggets of wisdom to her daughter North. Kim explained that she wanted her daughter to grow up being “proud of who she is” and “comfortable in her body.”
In other news, a California driver has filed a legal suit against Kim over a driving incident that happened in 2014. The mother-of-two was involved in a car accident with driver Rafael Linares several years back. The accident happened in the Beverly Hills area where Kim’s car “negligently” hit Linares vehicle. The two reportedly exchanged contact information at that time and was said to have parted ways amicably after the incident.
However, Linares is now claiming for compensation to cover past and future medical bills, as well as loss of income, as a result of the “sustained personal injuries which caused and will continue to cause pain, discomfort and physical disability.”
The reality star or her representatives have yet to comment on the news.
