Kim Porter's Cause Of Death? Diddy's Ex-Girlfriend Found Dead At 47
Model-actress and the ex-girlfriend of Diddy, Kim Porter, was found dead Thursday at her Toluca Lake, California home. Porter, had three children — 11-year-old twin daughters Jessie James and D'Lila, and son Christian Combs, 20 — with the music mogul.
"Sadly, I can confirm the passing of Kim Porter. I ask that you give the families privacy at this time," Sean "Diddy" Combs' representative Cindi Berger told Fox News.
While an autopsy, which will include toxicology tests, was yet to be performed to determine the cause of death, sources close to the investigation told the Blast that Porter's death will most likely be listed as “natural.” According to the sources, the 47-year-old was dealing with an illness at the time and being treated by a doctor. The sources also said police did not find signs of foul play at the scene, including drugs or alcohol.
A source told TMZ that Porter had been suffering from flu-like symptoms and possibly pneumonia for several weeks.
The Los Angeles Police Department told NBLCA — National Black Leadership Commission on AIDS Inc — that Diddy was “extremely cooperative and understandably upset" while speaking with detectives at the scene.
Diddy and Porter began dating in 1994 and were in an on-again, off-again relationship before ending their romance in 2007. Porter also had a son, Quincy, from her relationship with R&B producer Al B. Sure!
One of Porter’s final photos on her Instagram account before her death was a family picture, which was posted Nov. 5.
Porter appeared on television shows including “Law & Order” and “Wicked Wicked Games,” and also had roles in the films “The Brothers” and “Mama, I Want to Sing.” She was born in Columbus, Georgia, in 1971 and moved to Atlanta after graduating from Columbus High School in 1988 to pursue a modeling career. She appeared on the covers of Runway and Essence magazines. She was also part of Diddy's VH1 show "I Want to Work for Diddy."
