Kim Zolciak: 'I’m Closing Up Shop' After I Give Birth To The Twins, Says Pregnant Reality Star [PHOTOS]
You get what you get and you don’t get upset is the motto reality star Kim Zolciak is following these days. The former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star confirmed to a fan on Twitter this week that following the birth of her twins next month, she won’t be trying to have more children with her husband, NFL player Kroy Biermann.
The 35-year-old Bravo star admitted her plans to cease growing her family following the delivery of her children—numbers five and 6—in November. “I really hope one of your twins is a girl or else you may turn into the Duggar woman with all these kids!” prompted Twitter user Erika T. on Wednesday, referencing the reality star’s lack of confirmation of the twins’ gender and her last two pregnancies resulting in boys. Zolciak replied claiming she will take precautions to prevent future pregnancies, saying, “No ma’am. Either way I am closing up shop!”
Zolciak’s comments come just two months after a friend of the reality star spoke out anonymously to HollywoodLife claiming that those close to the married mom want her to discontinue having children. “She better get her tubes tied before she surpasses Octomom,” said an insider, adding, “I say this with love because Kim is like family, she needs to stop having sex or at least Kroy needs to wear a condom or two… or six.”
Despite friends’ concerns, the source revealed that the couple's children are well taken care of under the reality stars’ care and that the group is “one big happy family.”
Zolciak first announced she was expecting during the season two finale episode of her family’s reality series “Don’t Be Tardy” in June only to confirm two months later that she would be welcoming not one, but two more babies later this year. “I'm having twins and I couldn't be more excited. I was completely shocked. I had no idea. It was a natural conception, but twins do run in the family, so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised," she said, calling the pregnancy surprise a “dream come true.”
Zolciak welcomed her first child, Kroy “KJ” Jagger, with Biermann, a 28-year-old defensive end for the Atlanta Falcons, in June 2011. In Aug. 2012 the couple welcomed their second son, Kash Kade. Zolciak’s two daughters from prior relationships, 16-year-old Brielle and 11-year-old Ariana, were famously adopted by Biermann earlier this year.
