Kim Zolciak, 'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' Star, To Get Spin-off Show
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” fans fretting over the absence of star Kim Zolciak in a promo photo for Season 5 need not worry -- although Zolciak will appear sparingly on the reality show, Bravo is planning a spin-off show featuring the nurse-turned-singer.
Zolciak was not included in the promotional picture for Season 5 because she was close to giving birth to son Kash Kade, TMZ reported Saturday.
The picture caused anxious “RHOA” fans to fear Zolciak was cut out of the latest season of the Bravo reality show.
While Zolciak will be “used sparingly” in season five because producers worked around her pregnancy, fans of the nurse-turned-singer can still get their fix of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, whom Bravo described has having ambitions “as big as her blonde hair.”
“We're told her short-term series, ‘Don't Be Tardy For the Wedding’ -- which aired on Bravo earlier this year -- was a ratings hit, so producers decided to give KZ a full-time spin-off of her own, which is already filming" in Georgia, the gossip website reported Saturday.
A title has not yet been given to the new Zolciak spinoff show, although it’s sure to feature Zolciak’s husband, Kroy Biermann, who plays defensive end for the Atlanta Falcons and is the father of Kash Kade.
“Don’t Be Tardy For the Wedding,” featured the nuptials of Zolciak and Biermann.
During “RHOA’s” first season, Zolciak transitioned from being a nurse to starting her music career.
Her debut single, “Tardy for the Party,” went as high as No. 3 on iTunes. She released her second single, “Google Me,” this year.
