Kordell And Porsha Stewart Divorce Update: Kordell Wants To Save Marriage To Reality Star? [PHOTO]

Former NFL player Kordell Stewart, who filed for divorce from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Stewart may be having a change of heart.

Over the weekend, Kordell posted photos on his Instagram account of the couple before they were estranged.

He posted a picture of the pair on a boat during a vacation along with the caption “What y’all think???? Here to work it out? Y’all have been supportive so I’m asking, may not work, but I’m going to try.”

The youngest cast mate of the reality series and her former NFL quarterback husband have been married for two years.

Porsha joined the hit Bravo show this season and recently spoke with host Bravo Andy Cohen about the divorce. He asked her about the moment she found out Kordell wanted to split up, and she said she found out via Twitter.

Her sister called her a number of times the morning the news broke, but Porsha was asleep at the time. When she returned her sister’s phone calls, she then went on Twitter and saw that Kordell was serving her with divorce papers.

“I thought, this is just a crazy joke!” Porsha said.

Porsha had reason to think it was a prank, as Kordell was in the next room when she saw the divorce details.

“I asked my husband ... had he filed, and, just a long story short, I felt very disappointed and let down,” she told Andy. “When I got married, I meant it for life. ... I was heartbroken.”

Kordell filed a petition for divorce last month in Fulton County, Access Atlanta reports. The court document said the marriage was "irretrievably broken."

TMZ also reports that Kordell feels his wife doesn't need to be paid spousal support as she's "an able-bodied person, earning income and is capable of supporting herself."

The couple married on May 21, 2011.

"[Kordell] misled her, and she found out about the filing in the media,” Porsha’s rep said in a statement shortly after the news became public, TMZ reports. "Mrs. Stewart hopes to resolve these personal issues privately with the support of her family, friends and strong faith."

She has repeatedly defended her husband on the reality TV show. Cast mates including NeNe Leakes have accused Kordell of being too controlling and demanding.
