Kourtney Kardashian Ends Nine-Year Relationship; Mother Kris Jenner Breaks Silence and Showed Support

The Fourth of July wasn't too festive for reality-TV star Kourtney Kardashian as it marked the end of her nine-year relationship with Scott “Lord” Disick, after an alleged photo of Disick chilling with ex-girlfriend Chloe Bartoli in Monte Carlo surfaced.

An eyewitness reportedly described Disick and Bartoli as being all over each other, quite publicly -- “she was nuzzling her head on his shoulder, and he was stroking her arm and thighs." While trying to keep up a brave face in the first couple of days after the split, Kourtney is now said to be freaking out as she cannot believe that Scott would put their relationship in jeopardy --they have three children together -- and subject her to such embarrassment. A source told People that aside from the photographs, Kourtney has been fed up with Scott’s constant lies and alcohol issues for months.

Kourtney, 36, has been drawing strength from the support of her sisters, Kim and Khloe. They've had group workout sessions, and had a recent night on town, where the newly-split celebrity seemed to look happy and confident, according to Us Weekly. Neither of the Kardashian sisters has spoken directly regarding the breakup, but Khloe recently tweeted: “Everyone has their own journey to the pursuit of happiness,” which was believed to imply support and encouragement for her sister.

Khloe has also found strength from their mother, Kris Jenner, who broke her silence last Wednesday in Los Angeles at the premiere of "The Gallows." The Kardashian matriarch commented on the breakup, saying “Kourtney’s hanging in there,” and that her eldest daughter is “good.” Jenner is the first member of the Kardashian family to comment on the breakup. According to Hello Magazine, Kris also posted a touching birthday message to her granddaughter Penelope, Scott and Kourtney’s child: “Happy 3rd Birthday to my little angel girl Penelope!!!!!! You are my ray of sunshine, who gives the best hugs and the sweetest kisses... I love you so much and thank God he has blessed us with YOU!!!!” Kourtney had a birthday celebration for Penelope in Disneyland.

Kourtney's other children with Disisk are Mason Dash and 6-month-old Reign Aston.
