Kourtney Kardashian 'Extends Her Womb' To Khloe As Sister Struggles With Fertility Issues
Khloe Kardashian has made no secret about her infertility issues, and on the latest episode of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, Kourtney offers to be her sister’s surrogate.
In the March 31 episode, Khloe, 28, opened up about her difficulty conceiving a child to her stepbrother Brandon Jenner and his wife.
“Since I married Lamar, it's been awkward,” she admitted, referring to husband Lamar Odom, of the L.A. Clippers. “About a year ago we just said, 'Let's just let it happen'. But when it didn’t happen, Kim was like, ‘Let’s go to the doctor.’ I found out I don’t ovulate and my uterus lining isn’t thick enough and I have to take pills to make my uterus lining thicker, and if that doesn’t get thicker, I cannot carry a baby. Sometimes it just doesn’t happen.”
Kourtney, 33, who has two children with boyfriend Scott Disick, later told the cameras that she has a hard time hearing about her younger sister’s infertility issues.
“I overhear Khloe talking about her pregnancy drama, [but] she never really talks to me [about it] anymore and I don’t really ask her. It just makes me sad that she has to struggle to get pregnant,” she said.
Kourtney then spoke with Disick about the idea of being Khloe’s surrogate.
“It’s weird -- it’s just too much for me -- it’s freaking me out,” the 30-year-old Disick admitted. “You don't just go putting babies in other sisters because you can!”
Disick had a change of heart, however, after hearing about Khloe’s struggles.
“I want her to be happy. I take back some of the things I said to you. I know how important it is for Khloe to have a child -- I understand now,” Disick said.
But it seems Kourtney will not be a surrogate for her sister anytime soon.
“We’ve never talked about surrogacy. I think it’s really sweet, but we are just not there yet,” Khloe said when Kourtney told her about the idea.
“But I’ll tell Lamar you are happy extending your womb to us!” she added playfully.
