Many celebrities have taken to social media to speak up about the hate crimes against Asian Americans in the last couple of months. Reality TV star Kris Jenner also condemned the crimes following the recent Atlanta incident.

"The rise of hate crimes against Asians and Asian Americans is not something we can ignore or excuse," she posted a message on Instagram in picture format Thursday. "As a country continually fighting for equality, equal opportunity and freedom for all, we cannot defend or rationalize crimes of hate."

"We must stand up and show support for all communities and speak up when discrimination, racism and physical attacks occur," she added. "I pray today for the victims, their families and everyone impacted by the shootings in Atlanta, and continue to hold onto hope that through spreading awareness, talking about injustices and intervening when we see or hear something that is discriminatory."

"We can teach and lead by example and make a positive change to the attitudes of those who hold hate in their hearts. I stand in solidarity with the Asian community, and with any individuals who feel attacked or marginalized because of the color of their skin," she concluded. "We are one world, one humanity, and one community. #StopAsianHate."

Jenner made the post following the Tuesday night horrific incident that took place in Atlanta in which six Asian women were killed in spas and massage parlors. While the hate crimes have spiked over the past year following the coronavirus pandemic, this recent shooting violence against Asians has shaken up many leaders and celebrities.

NBA star Dwyane Wade also took to Instagram on Wednesday, and reflected on the recent incident in which a total of eight people were killed including those six Asian women.

"The physical assaults and recent killings are rooted in racism. It needs to stop. We cannot be silent. My thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost loved ones due to this senseless hatred," he wrote. "To our Asian community - we love you and are standing united with you. Enough is enough."

Previously, actor Daniel Dae Kim and Olivia Munn had condemned the surge of hate crimes against Asian Americans. Kim once again tweeted on Wednesday following the shooting incident:

"I did not say the race of the criminal matters less if you’re white. The race of any attacker, including those who happen to be black, matters less than the fact they have bigotry in their heart & hurt others because of it," he tweeted. "Sadly, hate comes in all colors. But so do love & unity."
