Kristen Stewart Cheating Scandal Not Keeping Robert Pattinson From First Public Appearance, His Rep Says
Numerous reports falsely claimed earlier this week that Robert Pattinson will be cancelling his first public appearance due to girlfriend Kristen Stewart's cheating scandal, according to the "Twilight" actor's rep.
While media outlets such as ETOnline reported that Pattinson, 26, will not be attending an upcoming U.S. press appearance to promote his film Cosmopolis in New York due to the highly publicized scandal, a representative for the star told Gossip Cop, "No confirmed engagements have been canceled," adding, "Any reports to the contrary are inaccurate."
At the end of July, UsWeekly showed exclusive pictures of 22-year-old actress Kristen Stewart kissing her "Snow White and the Huntsmen" director, Rupert Sanders, 41, whose wife, Liberty Ross played Stewart's mother in the film. Ross and Sanders have two children together.
"This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry." Stewart said in a public statement after news of the affair broke out.
But it was later revealed that this may have been more than just a one-time hook up. Leopold Ross, the film director's brother-in-law, told the U.K.'s The People that the affair actually lasted "from the last half of filming and all through post-production..."
It appears that the relationship between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson may be over after her indiscretion, as removal vans were seen this week outside the Los Angeles home they shared, according to the Huffington Post.
