Kristen Stewart Debuts Platinum Blonde Shaved Head For New Role
Just days after Katy Perry showed off her new pixie cut on social media, actress Kristen Stewart unveiled her extremely short hair. While the singer decided to cut her locks after her breakup with Orlando Bloom, the latter went through her transformation due to a new movie role.
On Tuesday, the “Twilight” actress made a huge buzz when she went to the premiere of her movie “Personal Shopper” in Los Angeles with an edgy platinum blonde shaved look. Stewart’s buzz cut turned heads not only because it’s the first time her hair is this short, but also because she was spotted with a longer brunette bob just the day before, according to People.
Professional makeup artist Jillian Dempsey, who did Stewart’s makeup for the premiere event, raved about the actress’ new look on Instagram. “What a difference a day makes,” Dempsey wrote beside a snap of Stewart’s new hairstyle. As for the person responsible for Kristen’s shaved head, hairstylist Bridget Brager admitted that they “tried something a little different today.”
So far the response Stewart’s hair has been getting on social media is mixed. One commented: “When you have a gorgeous face, it doesn’t matter how you wear your hair. This woman is simply stunning.” Another spoke negatively of the Hollywood celeb’s transformation, saying, “She looks awful! She’s like the living lesbian stereotypes. What’s next? Transition maybe?”
Robert Pattinson’s ex-girlfriend just signed on to star in an upcoming thriller entitled “Underwater.” This new look is said to be part of her preparation for her role in the movie, which chronicles the story of survival of an undersea scientific team following a disastrous earthquake. “The Signal” director Will Eubank will be taking the helm for this project, and production is reportedly scheduled to begin in New Orleans later this month, as per Entertainment Weekly.
