Kristen Stewart's Lesbian Romantic Comedy Flick Casting Second Lead Soon
Kristen Stewart will begin work on her new film “Happiest Season” soon. Mackenzie Davis is reportedly in talks to join the cast of the movie. This a romantic comedy centered around two lesbians that the actresses are tipped to play.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Davis is currently in talks to play the lead role in “Happiest Season” opposite Stewart. The studio has yet to confirm the casting.
The plot of the film revolves around a young woman who plans to propose to her girlfriend while they are at the latter’s annual family party. Her plans go haywire after she learns that her girlfriend has yet to come out to her conservative parents.
“Happiest Season” will be directed by Clea DuVall, and this will be her directorial debut. DuVall previously worked as an actress in popular TV shows like “The Handmaid’s Tale” and “Better Call Saul.” She wrote the script of the film with Mary Holland.
Stewart’s other films that will be released this year are “Charlie’s Angels,” “Underwater” and “Against All Enemies.” There was a rumor that she will be working with her ex Robert Pattinson on an “edgy” movie. However, Gossip Cop has debunked these rumors. The two celebrities will not be working together again anytime soon.
Stewart previously dated Pattinson for years, but the two broke up after photos of her kissing Rupert Sanders surfaced online. The two gave their relationship another try, but they eventually called it quits. Since then the actress has come out and said that she is gay. Among the people she has dated are singer Stéphanie “Soko” Sokolinski and musician St. Vincent, US Weekly reported. Her current girlfriend is Stella Maxwell.
Stewart was spotted most recently at the Haute Couture show in Paris. The actress went shirtless at the event with a “bold androgyny look,” Pink Villa reported. She wore a tweed blazer with golden details. She finished the look with gold colored pants, gelled hair and red sunglasses.
