Kroger Shrimp Recall: How Can You Get A Refund?
Kroger (KR) has issued a recall of its shrimp products due to a potential health risk from under-cooking.
The company said the recalled shrimp “could result in contamination by spoilage organisms or pathogens” from the under-cooking.
The recalled shrimp includes:
- Sand Bar Peeled/Cooked Shrimp 26/30 CPTO with a UPC code of 11110-64115 and production date of 08 25 18 and 08/26/18. Sell by date is 08 25 20 and 08 26 20. The shrimp was sold in 2-pound packages.
- Shrimp Cooked Tail-On 26/30 Frozen Service Case with a UPC code of 69439-XXXXX and a production date of 08 25 18 and 08 26 18. Sell by date is 08 25 20 and 08 26 20. It was sold in a variety of package sizes.
- Shrimp Grab & Go Service Case with a UPC code of 69447-XXXXX and a production date of 08 25 18 and 08 26 18. Sell by date is 08 25 20 and 08 26 20. It was sold in a variety of package sizes.
- Shrimp Cooked 26/30 Seasoned Service Case with a UPC code of 69472-XXXXX and a production date of 08 25 18 and 08 26 18. Sell by date is 08 25 20 and 08 26 20. It was sold in a variety of package sizes.
- Shrimp Cooked Tail-On 26/30 Frozen Service Case with a UPC code of 89439-XXXXX and a production date of 08 25 18 and 08 26 18. Sell by date is 08 25 20 and 08 26 20. It was sold in a variety of package sizes.
- Shrimp 26/30 Cooked Service Case with a UPC code of 89461-XXXXX and a production date of 08 25 18 and 08 26 18. Sell by date is 08 25 20 and 08 26 20. It was sold in a variety of package sizes.
- Shrimp Cooked 26/30 Seasoned Service Case with a UPC code of 98107-XXXXX and a production date of 08 25 18 and 08 26 18. Sell by date is 08 25 20 and 08 26 20. It was sold in a variety of package sizes.
- Shrimp Cocktail 26/30 with a UPC code of 99479-5XXXX and a production date of 08 25 18 and 08 26 18. Sell by date is 08 25 20 and 08 26 20. It was sold in a variety of package sizes.
- Peeled Cooked Shrimp 26/30 with a UPC code of 40401-370681 and a production date of 08 25 18 and 08 26 18. Sell by date is 08 25 20 and 08 26 20. It was sold in 2-pound packages.
Kroger is urging customers that have purchased the recalled shrimp not to eat it.
A full refund of the affected shrimp products can be obtained by returning the products to the place of purchase.

As of this morning, Kroger stock was up about 0.25 percent.
