The hype around the launch of the much-awaited Shiba Inu Games is up a notch and this time, the pseudonymous lead developer of the popular dog-themed altcoin is not holding back and has dropped a major teaser about it.
The official Twitter account of Shiba Inu shared a mysterious video over the weekend, seemingly teasing a new upcoming project. While the Shib Army speculated on what the brief video was about, Kusama tweeted, "#SHIBARMY #SHIB #CCG GET IN POSITION" and shared a picture of what looked like a piece of a collectible game card, underscoring it had something to do with one of the upcoming Shiba Inu Games.
Kusama also made a follow-up tweet highlighting the importance of "seeing" the developers' vision. "Love all th3 BONE responses when months ago people didn't see the vision. Wait until people see the vision months from now.... GET IN POSITION," they wrote.
Kusama was referring to how people are now starting to buy BONE, the governance token of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, which, according to them, will be used as the gas token in the upcoming Layer-2 solution Shibarium. A few months ago, many investors did not know about BONE, but since the hype on Shibrium, the governance token's price spiked and more investors became interested and started buying BONE at a much higher price.
BONE was trading at $0.3174 in May, but the governance token's price surged as high as $0.7411 on July 30, showing a massive 133.5% increase in value based on the data from CoinMarketCap. The "Get in Position" caption also goes for the card game of the same name shown in the tweet, which "gives target friendly fighter two attack," as well as "gives fighter friendly fighter shield."
There is no definitive release date for the Shiba Inu Game yet, but Kusama previously noted on Shiba Inu's official Discord that the target release window is still September.
"September-ish is our goal unless something truly awesome slows us down," they noted.
The Shiba Inu Game, which was announced in November 2021, consists of two games divided into an NFT game that will utilize the Shiboshi NFT and a classic mobile game. It is currently in development at PlaySide Studios, with industry veteran William Volk as its consultant.
