KEY POINTS

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has revealed that she did not pass the "baby bar" exam as a law student.
In a sneak peek of Thursday's episode from her family show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” which dropped Wednesday, Kim tells her sisters, Khloé Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian: "So you guys, I did not pass the baby bar."
In an interview with Vogue in 2019, Kim revealed that she has been studying to become a lawyer and enrolled for a four-year apprenticeship in San Francisco.
In the clip for the upcoming episode, Kim explains that she's doing a four-year law school program rather than a typical three year and that after the first year "you have to take the baby bar."
"This one actually is harder, I hear, than the official bar," she says. The 40-year-old is then shown being told by Jessica Jackson, a human rights attorney, and co-founder of #cut50, where Kim is interning, that she needed a score of 560, but got a 474.
"I am a failure," says Kim, looking visibly upset. She adds: "To not pass gets your spirits down. It makes you want to give up." Kim also laments that she spent "six weeks straight, 10 to 12 hours a day" studying for the exam.
Her sisters support Kim and remind her how far she has come. They tell her that their late father, famed lawyer Robert Kardashian, would be “proud of her.”
"I feel like dad would be really proud of you regardless," Kourtney says. "Just the fact that you're pursuing this."
Kim then shares that the major reason behind her "disappointment" was that she spent time away from her children in order to study for the exam. She also reveals that she is not sure about retaking the baby bar exam the second time.
"I'm filming the ending of our show, which will be so emotional. I have every birthday under the sun — it's my 40th. I planned this whole trip and it’s too late cancel," Kim shares her concern. "And if I fail again, it's like, what's the point?"
"I feel like I just got to the end where I almost knew everything," she says. "I could try...or I could just give up. I really need to think about it."
"Keeping Up with the Kardashians" airs every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on E!
