Kyle Richards Was ‘Blindsided’ By Garcelle Beauvais’ Speech On ‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’
At the beginning of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Season 10 Kyle Richards thought she and her new castmate Garcelle Beauvais were becoming fast friends. However, the 51-year-old revealed she felt “totally blindsided” when she realized the actress didn’t share the same sentiment.
Earlier this season, Garcelle was honored by the Los Angeles Mission and took the stage to address the guests in attendance. During her speech, Garcelle revealed that she forged great relationships with some of the women on the cast but allegedly “made eye contact” with Kyle to let her know she wasn’t one of them.
“I want to say thank you to that table over there, everybody who supports me, loves me. My new best friends. Some of them, not so much, but we’ll figure that out,” Garcelle said at the time.
During Kyle’s appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen: @ Home” she admitted she was upset with Garcelle’s behavior during the event.
“I was totally blindsided. I thought we were getting along great. I adore her, and I thought she was a great addition to the show,” she told the host.
“I was one of the first people to raise my hand and donate to her charity, and she didn’t acknowledge that in the episode or anything. I didn’t do it to be acknowledged, but it was really rude. It was really unbelievably rude to stand up and make a speech like that,” she added.
Earlier in the season, Garcelle defended her decision to shade Kyle at the event during a chat with The Daily Dish.
“Listen, you have to keep it real. And we’re not all going to be best friends right off the bat, right? So, that’s kind of how I felt. I felt like I knew some of them and some of them we hit it off right away and others not so much,” she said.
Garcelle isn’t the only cast member that has had issues with Kyle. In the past, the star has been slammed for the way she talks to cast members. However, the “RHOBH” vet has previously insisted that her aggressive behavior allows her voice to be heard among her outspoken co-stars.
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
