Lala Kent 'Not Suffering' After Randall Emmett Split: 'There Was No Loss'
KEY POINTS
- Lala Kent claimed her ex Randal Emmett's actions behind the scenes were not the same when they were around each other
- Kent said she couldn't mourn for how their relationship ended because there was no loss, and she didn't feel like she was suffering
- Larsa Pippen told Kent that she understood her, and the "Vanderpump Rules" star would probably look at it differently after two years
Lala Kent got candid about her breakup with her ex-fiancé, Randall Emmett, and how it didn't make her sad.
"I feel like I'm not suffering," the "Vanderpump Rules" star, 31, told guest Larsa Pippen on the "Give Them Lala" podcast Wednesday, per Page Six.
"Yes, there was a lot of betrayal. What he was doing behind-the-scenes was not the same as the life he was portraying when we were around each other. So, it's hard for me to come from a place of, like, mourning a loss when there was no loss because it wasn't ever real," she added.
Pippen, who was previously married to NBA superstar Scottie Pippen until they split in 2016, said she understood the Bravo star and weighed in on Kent's emotional state.
"I get what you're saying. You're looking at it like that and I promise you when we talk in, like, two years, you're going to be looking at it differently," Pippen told Kent.
"I hope so," Kent replied.
Kent called off her engagement to the 50-year-old producer in October 2021 after photos of Emmett allegedly cheating resurfaced online. The exes share a 1-year-old daughter named Ocean.
Following their split, Kent has been bold in sharing her thoughts about her ex. According to her, the $150K engagement ring she received from Emmett was fake.
In a previous episode of her podcast, she said that the 6-carat, round-cut diamond ring Emmett gave her when he proposed was not real. She took the ring to a "highly recommended" jeweler when she remembered Emmett talking to her mom about "how some rappers take s---ty diamonds and make them pretty."
"I love any type of ring that is given and has sentimental value. I don't care if it was $100, I don't care if it was $100 million — I don't," Kent said. "No wonder he whose name we shall not mention flew in four times, he had to make sure the s–t brown diamond was clear!"
Kent also alleged that Emmet cheated on her multiple times before she decided to pull the plug. She told Andy Cohen when she appeared on "Watch What Happens Live" that he had been cheating on her for "quite some time."
"It's been kind of repeated behavior that I have found out about," Kent told Cohen. "And it's not just one person — it's many. I believe it started after I got sober, and it's just … I don't know how I didn't see it."
Emmett did not directly admit to cheating on Kent when he recently appeared on the "Genuinely GG" podcast. However, he told host Golnesa Gharachedaghi that he was to blame for their split and confessed that he made "mistakes."
