Lamar Odom Refuses Khloé Kardashian’s Requests To Enter Rehab After Being Spotted Drinking

Despite having had near-death ordeal just months ago, Lamar Odom seems to be back to drinking and his estranged wife Khloé Kardashian is trying to convince him to take treatment for it immediately, TMZ reported Wednesday. Odom had overdosed on drugs and sexual enhancement pills last year while he was in a brothel in Las Vegas and had been in a coma for months.

Source close to Kardashian and Odom told TMZ that the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star is doing everything she can to get Odom to get treated for his addictions, now that he seems to have recovered physically from his illness. The report added that although Odom is willing to go back to a physical rehab, he has declined to deal with his addiction. Odom had suffered multiple strokes during the overdose and before he went into coma.

TMZ added, citing sources that Kardashian also suggested an outpatient program, but the former Los Angeles Lakers player refused for that too. His family members have also reportedly been unsuccessful to convince him, despite pointing out that several of his relatives, including his father, have addiction issues.

The report of concern from Kardashian and his family follows reports that Odom was drinking at an Irish bar on Sunday, hours before he went to the Church with the Kardashians. He had entered the bar just before midnight on Saturday, with two unidentified male friends, and had left at about 1:00 a.m. on Sunday. The report added that he ordered three Remy Martin drinks and paid for them himself.

He was seen wearing the same sweatshirt while taking the children to church Sunday morning, TMZ reported Tuesday. He also held a cup of Starbucks while entering the Church.

The Wednesday report by TMZ said that he has been talking to his children in New York recently and they have been concerned about seeing their father in a bar again. They are worried that Odom may go back to his old lifestyle with substance abuse. The report added that nobody close to Odom believes that he can “casually” drink without risking a renewal of his drug abuse.

Kardashian is also reportedly telling her friends and family members that there will be a point when “she has to stop trying” to save the former basketball star. Kardashian also posted a cryptic message on Tuesday morning on her Twitter handle, and reports speculated if it could be about Odom’s drinking.
