Larsa Pippen, Malik Beasley Split 4 Months After PDA Scandal: 'Timing Wasn't Right'

Larsa Pippen and Malik Beasley have called it quits four months after their PDA scandal that led to his divorce from Montana Yao.

Last year, Pippen and Beasley's sweet photos made rounds online because he was married at the time. Yao was shocked with their PDA-filled pictures and filed for divorce on the day she saw them. Despite the scandal, Beasley continued to leave flirty comments on Pippen's Instagram and they spent Valentine's Day together. However, the pair are no longer together.

"Larsa decided to distance herself from the drama," an insider told Us Weekly. "He was going through a lot and the timing wasn’t right."

"Many people assumed it was serious when in fact it was not," the source continued.

Pippen shares four children with her estranged husband, Scottie Pippen. She has decided to focus on her family and her jewelry brand, Larsa Marie.

Pippen and Beasley's split came after their romantic Valentine's Day date. They also unfollowed each other on Instagram. The reality star was subsequently spotted with a new man last month, Us Weekly noted.

In February, Pippen insisted that she had nothing to do with Beasley and Yao's separation. To her knowledge, the two were already having marital issues before she started seeing the Minnesota Timberwolves star.

"It had nothing to do with me, so I wasn’t thinking anything about it. If you spent a minute Googling their situation, it wasn’t the ideal situation way before me," she said.

"We had spoken about it. It wasn’t a secret. I know a lot of people that are married and exiting. I’ve played that part. So for me, if you’re not being shady and you’re telling me all your stuff, I’m going to believe you," she added.

Pippen also made a similar tweet in December insisting that Beasley and Yao were no longer together when she dated him. However, the 23-year-old model denied Pippen's claim.

"This is 100% false. Continue to speak on my name and my relationship and we’re going to have issues. Receipts don’t lie. Let’s not go there. I think you’ve embarrassed yourself enough already," Yao responded to Pippen's tweet.
