“The Last Kingdom” Season 4 will continue to be about bloody battles that will be fought to forge England, and about the personal challenges of Lord Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon). However, the cast members had a lot of fun filming the show. A new set of behind-the-scenes pictures from the production set have surfaced online that show the actors goofing off.

A picture of Finan actor Mark Rowley has been posted on the Instagram page of the TV series. The photograph shows the actor joined by two of his fellow cast members, as they gave a funny pose for the cameras near the trailers.

“Actors waiting at base... Madness on and off camera!!!” Rowley wrote in the post. The actor also called for a band name suggestion, and many of the fans commented on the post by calling the actors “Cone Heads” for their behind-the-scenes antics.

Cast member Eliza Butterworth, who will be reprising her role as Aelswith, has also been sharing behind-the-scenes pictures from the production set of “The Last Kingdom” Season 4. One of the photos she shared was that of her with King Edward actor Tomothy Innes.

“My son and I living our best lives as mermaids,” Butterworth wrote in the post. The actress also complimented Molly Emma Rowe for the “stunning” new costumes.

Aelswith appears to be taking on a bigger role in running the kingdom in the name of her son, who took on the responsibility only recently. The photo Butterworth shared online showed her riding a horse while a few extras in armor can be seen in the background. Will she lead her troops in battle?

Butterworth also teased the new look of her character in “The Last Kingdom” Season 4 in another photo she shared online. The character has always been spiritual, and she may become very religious after the death of her husband.
