'The Last Kingdom' Season 4: More Battles Teased In New Photos

After revealing the release date of “The Last Kingdom” Season 4, the highly anticipated show has shared new photos online. Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon) will be back with a new hairstyle and he will be joined by his group of loyal followers.

The official stills of the next season have been posted on the Instagram page of the TV series. A close-up photo of Uhtred shows the scars on his face from previous battles, and the social media post teases many more battles to come that the protagonist will have to fight this year.

“Kingdoms will be challenged and battles will be fought,” the caption of the Instagram post reads. The producers also asked the fans to speculate what’s in store for these characters when the show returns in a few weeks.

Uhtred is joined by Sihtric (Arnas Fedaravicius) in the second picture. The two characters can be seen riding their horses through the woods.

Aelswith (Eliza Butterworth) will also be back in “The Last Kingdom” Season 4. She will be older, but it remains to be seen if she will be wiser, especially when it comes to her feud with Uhtred. The Queen mother will be guiding her son Edward (Timothy Innes), as he takes on the role of the new king.

The last picture is that of Brida (Emily Cox) The character stands alone and looks solemn after the events in the previous season. The character is seen as one of the most powerful women on the show.

The new season is significant because this is a first under the Netflix banner after the streaming platform decided to save the show. The possibility of the show continuing will depend on how well received the new story will be.
