‘Last Vermont Christmas’ Hallmark Movies Premiere: See Cast, Trailer, Air Date
Hallmark’s Nine Night Thanksgiving Movie Event continues Monday night with the premiere of “Last Vermont Christmas.”
Erin Cahill and Justin Bruening star in the new holiday flick, which will air on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. While it’s only been a couple of years since Cahill’s last Hallmark movie, which was 2016’s “Sleigh Bells Ring,” it’s been five years since Breuning was last in a Hallmark flick, which was 2013’s “The Thanksgiving House.” Now, they’re making their return during the most popular season — Christmas movie season.
“Widowed mom Megan (Cahill) and her sisters Bethany (Rachel Rhodes-Devey) and Audrey (Catherine Corcoran) return to their parents’ house in Vermont for the holidays,” the synopsis begins. “Soon after Megan arrives home, she runs into her high school boyfriend, Nash (Bruening) and feels an old familiar spark. Later, Audrey confesses to Megan that she has been living at home for the past few months, having dropped out of music school in Nashville.”
When Megan’s parents reveal that they’re selling the house, she’s shocked. But the shock only multiplies when she finds out that Nash and his business partner plan to buy the house as an investment. Although this surprises Megan, it’s her sister Audrey who’s really not happy about it all, and she sets out with her neighbor Brandon (Alan Pontes) to stop the sale from happening.
“As the home buying process goes on, Megan and her family try to make their last Christmas in the house the best one ever, checking off their favorite Christmas traditions,” the synopsis continues. “Nash, who stops by to oversee the (disastrous) home inspection, stays to decorate cookies and sing Christmas carols, and later joins the family in finding a Christmas tree. He begins to have doubts about purchasing the home, knowing how much it means to Megan.”
As Megan and Nash reconnect over holiday activities, she starts to wonder if she should really leave after Christmas or if she should make her return home a permanent one.
“Last Vermont Christmas” airs on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries on Monday at 9 p.m. EST.
