Laura Dern was spotted at a basketball game with her “Little Women” co-star Timothee Chalamet on Wednesday. Why were they there? Well, not only is Dern an avid sports fan, but she had a specific mission in mind: to locate Baby Yoda.

The “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” actress created a viral moment on the red carpet on Monday when she was asked if she had seen Baby Yoda, the breakout star of "The Mandalorian."

"Yes, I did. Just today," Dern said, confidently.

The Variety interviewer, slightly confused, pressed further which is exactly when Dern revealed where she had seen the little green internet sensation. "I think he was at a basketball game,” she concluded. “That's all I'm going to say. I think I saw him at a basketball game."

The highly confused interviewer could only laugh alongside Dern as she carried on about her day, but the internet wouldn’t let it go.

Twitter exploded with jokes and, strangely, support for Dern and her claim to have seen Baby Yoda at a basketball game. Dern responded to one of them by simply writing, “Thank you.”

Dern followed up earlier on Wednesday with a post of her own on Instagram, cracking a joke about the whole thing. The photo is of her and Chalamet at a basketball game, laughing together as they’re seen on the big screen.

The caption simply reads: “Caught a game to see if I could find him again. #BabyYoda”

When ESPN reporter Tim Bontemps asked about it in person, Dern responded: “Well, I love the NBA, so when I got asked about where I might see him, I couldn’t help but say an NBA game. But he’s here. I saw him.”
