Lauryn Hill Says Rohan Marley Not the Father of Her Baby

Lauryn Hill, the Grammy winning singer, has clarified in a twitter message that Rohan Marley is not the father of her sixth child. She gave birth to a son on July 23.

It was rumored that Rohan Marley, Bob Marley’s son, had abandoned her when she was pregnant. It was reported that he was seeing a 28-year-old Brazilian model.

Ronan Marley and Lauryn were together for 15 years and have five children together.

The former member of The Fugees, a R&B group, tweeted: "Mr. Marley and I have a long and complex history about which MANY inaccuracies have been reported since the beginning," the 36-year-old began her statement. "To speculate without the facts can only cause people to form WRONG conclusions. We both value privacy and for that reason defend and preserve our right to it."

The songstress continued on, "Contrary to the numerous reports, Mr. Marley did not abandon me while pregnant with his child. We have had long periods of separation over the years but our 5 children together remain a joy to both of us. Thank you for your concern and I appreciate all of the well wishes regarding the birth of my new son," reported Aceshowbiz.com.

Earlier conversing on Twitter with a reporter from The Houston Chronicle shortly after news of Hill's pregnancy broke, Rohan stated: '2 things... I'm not married and I don't have anyone expecting anything.'

Hill is yet to comment on the father of her the baby, who is yet to be named.
