Riot Games has recently included all the content of the Pantheon champion rework in its test servers. Pantheon’s new appearance, abilities, and skins can now be played against other players. Potentially, Pantheon could be included in the live servers in August.

The new Pantheon is now playable in Public Beta Environment servers and now sports new abilities. Along with his new abilities, all of his skins have now been overhauled along with the changes to his appearance.

In his lore, Pantheon is no longer an Aspect of War possessing a man but the only the warrior himself that once housed this celestial being. Nevertheless, the current Pantheon still has the same godly power that the once used. In gameplay, Pantheon sports different yet functionally similar tools in this new version.

His Q ability, Comet Spear, makes him throw a spear like he used to in his previous version. However, the reworked version is now similar to Pyke’s Q ability that has a tap and hold versions of it. Most of his previous passive that deals critical damage to weakened foes has been applied to this skill.

Meanwhile, his W ability, Shield Vault, is still his main movement skill and his crowd control stun. It still stuns one person.

The E skill, Aegis Assault, is now a mix of his original blocking innate passive and his damaging spear strike attack. Instead of simply staying in place to spear the enemy a million times, he would now also put up his shield and block all incoming damage similar to Braum’s Unbreakable ability. This stance lasts for 1.5 seconds and allows him to move forward normally but at reduced speed when moving sideways or backwards.

Pantheon’s new innate passive is now called Mortal Will which buffs his next ability after hitting a total of five attacks and abilities. When buffed, his Comet Spear will deal extra damage and slow down foes, his Shield Vault will also deal extra damage, and Aegis Assault’s duration will now last 2.5 seconds.

Lastly, his new ultimate, Grand Starfall, will still allow Pantheon to leap to a location in the map and skid toward his target location. His previous ultimate is similar but slams the target direction directly in the middle.

The Pantheon rework is still under testing and may arrive on the live servers in the next major patch. The earliest date that the new Pantheon can be played would be on August 14, according to the official support page.
