Leah Messer Responds With Cryptic Instagram Post After Jeremy Calvert's Engagement

Contrary to various reports, “Teen Mom 2” star Leah Messer does not seem “heartbroken.” However, she did write a cryptic message on Instagram. Her ex-husband, Jeremy Calvert, is engaged to girlfriend Brooke Wehr, but Leah didn’t directly respond to the development. Instead, she focused on her daughters at home and ignored Jeremy and Brooke’s news.

Leah seemingly wanted it known she does not need a man in her life. She took to Instagram Monday, two days after Jeremy confirmed his engagement. “My heart is COMPLETE!” the mother-of-three captioned a photo of herself with Addie, the daughter she shares with Jeremy. “We just need sissies to be home now.” “Sissies” is a reference to her 6-year-old twin daughters, Ali and Aleeah, who she shares with first husband Corey Simms.

In a follow-up post, Leah wrote she was excited about some home improvements. She posted a picture of a turquoise-painted door. “Our home is coming together so perfectly! I love #Bright #Happy colors! #SoHappy Door knob will be silver of course or black.... Hmmm,” she wrote to her 1 million followers. Within minutes, the post garnered hundreds of likes.

While Leah focuses on her children and home, Jeremy is thrilled to marry Brooke. “Yup, I'm engaged to my beautiful amazing soon to be wifey,” he wrote Saturday. “I love you baby doll I'm one happy man right now your my everything,” captioned a photo of Brooke’s ring finger, which was adorned with a diamond dazzler.

While Jeremy moves on with his personal life, Leah battled rumors in July that she was anorexic. She dismissed the gossip in an official statement to Refinery 29: “There are many more important issues going on in the world today than whether or not I had enough to eat for breakfast. (Side note: I had plenty.)”

Season 8 of “Teen Mom 2” is currently filming. “Teen Mom OG” Season 6 airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on MTV.
