Leah Messer wants to be open to her three daughters about her past, so they will not commit the same mistakes she did when she was a teenager.
Messer wants her daughters Adalynn, Aliannah and Aleeah to watch all of her segments on “Teen Mom 2.” But they need to wait until they are teenagers to view them
“Some of it I just don’t think that they should watch until they’re like 14 or 15, maybe 13,” Messer told Us Weekly in an exclusive interview.
“But they’re going into middle school. I think that being open with my daughters about things moving forward will hopefully prevent them from making the same mistakes. And that was the entire purpose of the show.”
Messer's children sometimes watch the show with her. However, at other times, she has to watch the episode ahead and speak about it with them and they go from there.
The "Teen Mom 2" star praised her daughters for their bold personalities because they understood her fame and they have had no issues with it.
"They’ve never experienced any other life outside of it. My girls have very bold personalities and they really don’t have a problem with, like, any of the cameras or anything like that," she added.
Back in May, Messer responded to a troll who criticized her daughter Ali's appearance. "Her face look like a wilted rubber Halloween mask dont front," the troll said.
“Some of the comments on a photo of me with Ali are despicable. I’m sickened,” Messer wrote on Twitter.
“What world are we living and raising our children in? Let’s teach all of our kids that we are each born with unique differences that make us the beautiful individuals we are!!!”
Several parents sympathized with Messer after the incident.
In related news, Messer previously opened up about how they spent quarantine at home. The reality star and her kids kept themselves busy by doing yoga, dancing, and using TikTok. She also shared that sometimes they would sleep on her bed with her even if she encouraged them to sleep on their own beds.
“One day I’m going to miss them not sleeping with me. If I had a spouse it would be different, but I don’t so we all sleep together,” Messer added.
