LeBron James’ apology for ‘get a life’ press conference: Real or Fake?

I'm not superior to anyone, Lebron James said one day after his 'get a life' press conference where he blasted his critics telling them to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today.

Whether James' statement was an apology or not, it harked back to the belated apology he issued last month for his ESPN broadcast dubbed The Decision when he left the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Miami Heat.

Like The Decision, James' comments were negatively construed by many, this time to mean the basketball star was essentially telling people to 'get a life' and stop criticizing him.

The comments were made following his Heat's team loss to the Dallas Mavericks in six games. James said that his critics will have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today

I'm going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that.

James added, But they have to get back to the real world at some point.

Following heated criticism from the comments, James said, Basically, I was saying, at the end of the day, this season is over and regarding hatred, not only myself, but everyone has to move on with their lives, as well.

James also made sure to re-iterate his comments saying, They have to move on with their lives and their day-to-day, good or bad, as I do, too, at the end of the day. I've got to move on with my life.

Last month, James issued an apology for The Decision broadcast was issued nearly one year after receiving criticism on the way the situation was handled.

According to ESPN, James had an epiphany that night in mid-May and woke up after a sleepless night to say, The way it panned out with all the friends and family and the fans back home, I apologize for the way it happened.

However, by that time, the Cleveland Cavaliers were well on their way to the NBA lottery and the Miami Heat were well on their way to the playoffs.

Apologizing almost one year later for The Decision felt to many as if it was too little too late.

This time around, many are wondering whether or not James has learned how to apologize.

Instead of simply saying sorry for the comments and speaking about his emotions following the crushing loss, James held firm by clarifying and rationalizing the comments further.

By doing so, it appears that James meant what he said and that NBA fans can interpret them exactly how they were.
