The CW’s “Legacies” will air in its usual Thursday night slot, but it won’t be a new episode. A rerun will air on Feb. 14.

It isn’t clear why the “Vampire Diaries” spinoff isn’t airing a new episode on Valentine’s Day, but it won’t be on hiatus for long. “Legacies” Season 1, episode 11 airs Feb. 21 at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.

That gives fans time to digest the crazy drama from last week. When Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) met a jinni and made some wishes, she learned about the Merge. As twins in the Gemini coven, Lizzie and Josie (Kaylee Bryant) will have to fight to the death for power when they turn 22. Caroline (Candice King) is searching for a way to stop it.

Is Legacies on Tonight?

However, when Lizzie erased all of her wishes, she had no memory of the situation. The jinni warned that everyone who undoes their wishes slowly loses their minds as the brain struggles to grasp at what was forgotten.

In episode 11, things will get a little lighter as the Salvatore Boarding School’s talent show comes into play. “When Alaric (Matthew Davis) decides to postpone the school’s annual talent show, Lizzie and Josie are determined to make sure the show goes on,” the synopsis reveals.

Showrunner Julie Plec revealed that Josie will be a big focus in this episode. It’s only fair after Lizzie got her big episode last week.

However, it’s not “Legacies” without a monster. “Tensions arise when the students face a creature that lowers their inhibitions,” the logline teases. Expect everyone to get a little braver.

Elsewhere, it sounds like Alaric might do some bonding with Emma, and he might even have some fun. “Lastly, Alaric decides to play hooky with Emma (Karan David).”

Those who tune in tonight, however, will see a rerun of “Malivore.” The episode explains the season’s Big Bad, so it might be a good refresher for viewers.
