Is ‘Legacies’ Renewed Or Canceled? Season 2 Update Before March 28 Finale
“Legacies” Season 1 is coming to an end. Luckily, Thursday’s season finale isn’t the last time the Salvatore Boarding School students will be seen on the CW.
While most shows wait until May to find out if they’re canceled or renewed, The CW gave “Legacies” an early Season 2 renewal in January. “Legacies” and “Charmed” were the only freshman shows to score early renewals.
That’s good news because Thursday’s season finale of “Legacies” will certainly leave fans wanting more. As “The Vampire Diaries” and “Originals” fans know, the TVD Universe shows love a good season finale cliffhanger.
The Season 1 finale, titled “There’s Always A Loophole,” picks up where the last episode left off. Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) is planning to save Landon (Aria Shahghasemi) after realizing that her love is in danger. Unfortunately, Hope won’t get very far because Triad has decided to invade the Salvatore School. They aren’t exactly friendly.
“Hope wants nothing more than to fight to get him back, which is immediately derailed at the top of the episode,” Plec explained to Entertainment Tonight. “So when Triad steps in and tells everybody that they can’t leave, Hope has to find a way to get free from this school lockdown so that she can go save this person who has really earned a spot in her heart that she didn’t know she had to give.”
Landon is still with his newly discovered big brother Clarke (Nick Fink), who wants to bring their father, Malivore, to life. Will Clarke get his wish or will someone stop him?
Meanwhile, the Saltzman twins are still at each other’s throats. Josie (Kaylee Bryant) and Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) learned about the Merge, the curse of the Gemini coven witches. When they’re 22, they’ll have to fight to the death. Though they’re scared of what the future holds, it’ll take something bigger to unite the sisters.
The “Legacies” Season 1 finale airs Thursday at 9 p.m. EST on The CW. A premiere date for Season 2 has not been announced yet.
