‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Season 2 Spoilers: Captain Cold’s Comeback Episode Revealed
Wentworth Miller’s return to “Legends of Tomorrow” has been set.
According to TVLine, Miller will reprise his role as Leonard Snart, a.k.a. Captain Cold, in the mid-season 2 finale of the “Arrow” – “The Flash” offshoot.
As revealed during the “Legends of Tomorrow” panel at the San Diego Comic-Con last July, Captain Cold will be re-introduced as a member of the new villain group Legion of Doom. In addition to the cold gun-wielding rogue, other baddies that comprised the gang of baddies are Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), the Reverse-Flash / Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) and Malcolm Merlyn / The Dark Archer (John Barrowman). Damien and the Reverse-Flash made their series debut in last week’s Season 2 premiere, while Malcolm is set to make his first appearance on the show in episode 8.
Captain Cold died in Season 1 of “Legends of Tomorrow,” so the Captain Cold that fans will meet this season is probably an earlier incarnation or a version of the character from the future.
Although Miller is no longer a series regular in Season 2 of “Legends of Tomorrow,” Deadline reported last May that the 44-year-old actor entered a series regular contract with Warner Bros. TV, with his duties spread over different DC Comics shows developed by Greg Berlanti.
In fact, prior to his scheduled “Legends of Tomorrow” return, Miller is set to appear in next week’s episode of “The Flash.” According to the synopsis for Season 3, episode 4, entitled “The New Rogues,” metahuman Mirror Master (Grey Damon) and his old partner, Top (Ashley Rickards), team up to track down Captain Cold to even a score.
“Legends of Tomorrow” airs every Thursday at 8 p.m. on The CW, while “The Flash” airs every Tuesday in the same timeslot.
