‘Legends Of Tomorrow’: The Team Reunites With Commander Steel In Season 2, Episode 14
The team locates Commander Steel’s (Matthew MacCaull) whereabouts in Season 2, episode 14 of “Legends of Tomorrow.”
According to the synopsis for the episode, the Legends are reunited with Commander Steel, a.k.a. Henry Heywood, in NASA headquarters in 1970. While the team finally learns where Nate’s (Nick Zano) grandfather kept the last piece of the Spear of Destiny, it looks like retrieving it won’t be that easy as the Legion of Doom causes a time aberration that distracts them from accomplishing their main goal.
As seen in the trailer for the episode, the team has to intercept Apollo 13 before it lands on the moon. While it’s unclear why exactly the Legends need to intervene with the Apollo 13 mission, seeing Ray (Brandon Routh) face off against Eobard (Matt Letscher) in outer space in the clip suggests that a bigger problem may ensue if the Legends fail to fix the aberration.
Stopping Eobard’s evil plan, however, creates more problems for the team. As they journey into space to intercept Apollo 13, the Waverider experiences massive internal damage, and Ray’s life is left in danger when he is stuck on the moon.
Meanwhile, tension grows between Rip (Arthur Darvill) and Sara (Caity Lotz) when the question of who should be the leader of the team arises.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly last month, Lotz said that Rip has done things to Sara that she didn’t deserved. And since Sara doesn’t forgive easily, it seems that Rip won’t be able to return to his role as a captain even now that he’s back to his old self.
“In my head, Rip’s done a lot of things to Sara that she didn’t like and didn’t appreciate,” Lotz said. “She has a love-hate with him relationship already. She loves him, but she hates him and that’s kind of a hard thing to forgive. Sara’s not a saint.”
“Legends of Tomorrow” Season 2, episode 14, titled “Moonshot,” airs on Tuesday, March 14 at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
