“The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” took the top spot at the box office, but it’s not exactly a celebration. The movie still pulled in much less than expected on opening weekend.

In January, the “Lego” sequel was tracking to debut to anywhere between $45 million and $60 million, according to the Hollywood Reporter. However, on Sunday, box office estimates revealed the movie only pulled in $34.4 million.

That’s not great for the “Lego Movie” franchise either. The first film, released in 2014, opened to $69 million while “The Lego Batman Movie” pulled in $53 million in 2017. “The Lego Movie 2” at least opened higher than bomb “The Lego Ninjago Movie,” which only earned $20 million on its opening weekend in 2017.

Deadline reports that this weekend is shaping up to be the lowest post-Super Bowl weekend at the box office in a decade. “The Second Part” took the No. 1 spot, followed by Taraji P. Henson’s remake “What Men Want,” which earned $19 million. “Cold Pursuit,” starring Liam Neeson, took third place with $10.8 million.

Meanwhile, releases from January, “The Upside” and “Glass,” took the fourth and fifth slots with $7.2 and $6.4 million, respectively. The week’s other new release, horror flick “The Prodigy,” was No. 6 with just over $6 million.
