Leighton Meester stars in new Vera Wang commercial [video]

Actress Leighton Meester stars in a new promotional video for Vera Wang's Lovestruck fragrance. The 38-second ad seems to be inspired by Meester's role as Blair Waldorf on the popular television show Gossip Girl.

The ad portrays Meester, in a stunning maroon evening gown, waiting for her love to scale a fire escape and woo her with flowers--much like the cat-and-mouse game Meester plays with Ed Westwick's character, Chuck Bass on the T.V. show. But very much unlike the show, Meester embraces her love as flowers tumble to the ground, lovestruck forever.

Meester shines in the new commercial which was shot in New York City last November. The ad is part of Meester's two-year, $3 million contract with the Vera Wang label.
