Lenovo Unveils 3 New Tablets that Pose Threat to iPad (PHOTOS)
On Wednesday, Lenovo launched three new tablets: IdeaPad P1 designed for family and office sector, Think Pad designed for business sector and K1 tablets designed for personal sectors that may pose a threat to Apple iPad.
The tablets will run on Windows 7 or Android 3.1 Honeycomb, whose price will be similar with iPad.
Besides coming with a 1.5 GHz Intel Atom processor and the Windows 7, the Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet P1 has 2GB of RAM, 32/64 GB storage, 10.1-inch touchscreen display (1280 x 800 pixels), Wi-Fi, 3G (optional) and a front-facing 2-megapixel camera.
The Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet has a NVIDIA dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of RAM and a 10.1-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Two cameras are offered, one is the 2-megapixel front-facing camera and the other is the 5-megapixel one at the back. It also includes other features such as Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, microSD slot and a Micro HDMI port.
Except for the enterprise ones, the Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet K1 has similar features to the ThinkPad Tablet. Preorder for K1 is available from Wednesday. It will be available worldwide sometime in the fourth quarter 2011. 13:19
