‘Lethal Weapon’ Season 1 Spoilers: Episode 2 Synopsis Released Online; What Will Happen In ‘Surf N Turf’? [VIDEO]
Trish Murtaugh (Keesha Sharp) becomes concerned about her husband’s health in Season 1, episode 2 of “Lethal Weapon.”
According to the synopsis for the episode, titled “Surf N Turf,” Trish starts to worry about Roger’s (Damon Wayans) physical condition as his continued partnership with the reckless yet quick-witted ex-Navy SEAL Martin Riggs (Clayne Crawford) tests his limits.
As revealed in the Season 1 premiere, LAPD detective Roger suffered a minor heart attack six months ago after the birth of his newborn daughter, Harper. Since his heart attack, Trish has always reminded him to maintain a lower level of stress in his life to prevent another heart attack. To monitor his pulse, heart rate and stress level all throughout the day, Roger wears an Apple Fitbit watch.
Roger — who also have two teenage kids, Riana (Chandler Kinney) and Roger Jr. (Dante Brown), with Trish — loves his family so much, and that’s the very reason he always tries to play it safe while at work.
In the preview clip for the episode, Trish tells Roger: “At the end of every shift, you come back to me.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Roger and Martin respond to a noise complaint at a social gathering at the Hollywood hills home of heavyweight boxer Ronald Dawson. When gunshots go off, the pair is drawn into a major case involving illegal gun runners with advanced military technology. Riggs becomes more interested in the case when he finds out that one of their targets is a pregnant woman who reminds him of his wife, who died in a road accident with their unborn baby six months ago.
Jason Derulo plays Ronald in the episode. Other guest cast members in the second hour of the series are Michelle Mitchenor as Det. Sonya Bailey, Kristoffer Polaha as Bennet Hirsch, Jason Rodriguez as Lars, Silvia Busuioc as Natasha, Kwame Patterson as Jack Kirstein, Rick Ravanello as David Garrison and Golden Brooks as Trish.
“Lethal Weapon” Season 1, episode 2 airs on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 8 p.m. on FOX.
