LG G3 Smartphone Confirmed For July Launch On Sprint

The LG G3 smartphone will soon be heading to Sprint Co. (NYSE: S) as the U.S. mobile network has confirmed a July 18 release date for the device on Thursday.

The new flagship device from LG Electronics Inc. (KRX:066570) will sell for $0 down (plus tax) and $25 per month for 24 month under Sprint’s Easy Pay plan. The carrier has not indicated how much the LG G3 will cost with a two-year contract or without a contract at its full retail price. The LG G3 will be available for pre-order starting July 11. Upon its release the LG G3 will be available in Sprint retail stores, online and through telesales.

Sprint is offering customers various deals with the purchase of the LG G3. Those who purchase the device with Sprint’s Easy Pay plan between July 11 and July 24 will be eligible to receive a $150 Sprint reward card, while those who purchase the LG G3 between July 25 and Aug. 14 will be eligible to receive a $100.

The LG G3 will be available in two models, one containing 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and another containing 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. U.S. carriers including Sprint and T-Mobile US Inc. (NYSE:TMUS) will be offering a LG G3 model containing 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Sprint will also be the only U.S. carrier to offer the LG G3 in its Shine Gold color option.

In addition to Sprint, LG has confirmed Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ), AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T), T-Mobile, and Best Buy Co. (NYSE:BBY) will carry the G3. T-Mobile has already begun accepting pre-orders for the LG G3 and will have its model available in stores starting July 16. Verizon is expected to begin accepting preorders on July 10, with in-store availability around July 17.

The LG G3 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset clocking in at 2.5GHz, a 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560x1440) IPS display with a 538ppi pixel density, 2GB or 3GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB internal storage options with microSD support up to 128GB, a 13 megapixel rear camera with OIS and Laser Auto Focus and a 2.1 megapixel front camera, a 3,000mAh removable battery and the Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The LG G3 includes connectivity and sensors such as LTE, HSPA+ 21, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth Smart and NFC. The LG G3 will be available in Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold, Moon Violet and Burgundy Red color options.
