LG’s latest Stylo 5 smartphone is now available for a low price at Cricket Wireless.

Cell phone carrier Cricket Wireless has announced that the LG Stylo 5 smartphone is now on sale in Cricket stores or in its online store. In a press release, the carrier proudly announced that it is the first carrier to launch LG’s latest entry in its Stylo series of smartphones, and that the Stylo 5 can be purchased for $230.

Cricket said the LG Stylo 5 comes in 2 flavors: Platinum Gray and “Blonde Rose,” which is basically a metallic shade of pink, as per CNet. It has a host of features that make it a great and cheaper alternative to Samsung’s expensive Galaxy Note smartphone. Here are some of the LG Stylo 5’s features:

First, it has a large 6.2” Full HD+ FullVision display that makes taking down notes using the stylus easy. The wide screen also makes reading documents and watching videos very easy.

It has a large 3,500 mAh battery that can give users up to one day of battery life. Cricket said battery life is dependent on “network connectivity and application use.” Simply put, when taken somewhere out of reach of network coverage, the phone will eat up more battery as it is forced to keep searching for a connection.

It is said to run on a fast octa-core processor backed by up to 32GB of internal memory. Both LG and Cricket didn’t mention what processor powers the device, however. The LG Stylo 5 runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box, and has a fingerprint reader for added security.

Cricket Wireless also boasts of the LG Stylo 5’s camera features that can make pictures and videos stand out: First, there’s a 13MP rear facing camera with fast autofocus, LED flash, portrait mode, and full HD video recording capability. Next, there’s a 5MP front camera that lets users take beautiful wide-angle selfies.

The Stylo 5’s camera features include an “AI Cam” that recognizes the subjects in the frame and suggests the optimal filters for the perfect shot, and a “GIF Capture” lets users create their own GIF files from videos they take. What’s more, the LG Stylo 5 also makes use of Google Lens to visually search, shop, scan, or translate things the camera is pointed to.
