LG Tone Studio To Release In The US Later This Month
The wearable LG Tone Studio Bluetooth headset is scheduled to be released by the end of the month in the United States. LG’s unique take on the wearable audio device will sell for $229.99.
First announced back in January at CES 2017, the LG Tone Studio is a new iteration of LG’s around-the-neck headset design. The Tone Studio features four external speakers; two full range speakers that sit beneath the wearer’s ears and another two resting on the collarbones.
The four speakers on the Tone Studio deliver a surround sound effect to the user. The two speakers resting on the collarbones actually vibrate to deliver more punch to the bass. Users will also be able to switch between three default sound presets.
“LG worked closely with audio specialists at DTS to maximize the sound quality of Tone Studio while the built-in Hi-Fi DAC recreates audio content to deliver sound that is incredibly close to the original source material,” the company said in a press release. “And with Dual Play, two Tone Studio users can connect to the same sound source to share in the fun.”
If users are in a public area and want a more personal listening experience, there are also a pair of earbuds that can be popped out of the device. The LG Tone Studio’s battery can last up to 35 hours when using the earbuds, or 6 hours when using it on speaker mode, according to Android Police.
